Massimiliano Longo is an Italian music producer. In February 2014 he decided to build up an online magazine about Italian music trying to fill a gap in the market: all the other magazines and radios dedicated just a small part of their topics to Italian music and no one used to talk about emerging music. In less than one year "All Music Italia" became one of most influential websites about music in Italy.
From the beginning I became partner of this project as Web Project Manager. I designed and developed the first and the second release of the website, the mobile version. Looked after the maintenance. Designed and worked on web marketing, Search Engine Optimisation and social media strategies.
All Music Italia publishes daily news, reviews, interviews and columns. Upon defining the graphic layout for both desktop and mobile screens, the delicate part of my work was setting up a framework that was easy to use for editors and authors with no experience in preparing images for an article, nor compiling meta-tags for Search Engine Optimisation and programming publications and social media launches. Actually the website counts more than 3,500 articles and the database and media folders must be well-organised and structured in order to avoid slowdowns. The page speed time is an important Google factor for indexing.
How many posts do we publish on Facebook in a day? And on Twitter? At what time? And about what? Which is the best keyword to use for this article? Is our public in front of their computer on Sunday afternoon? How are other websites talking about us? Where can we invest our resources for advertising and how much? How can we increase our incomes? My work isn't just replying to these questions but also setting up goals and strategies and keeping these monitored and updated in case of unexpected results.
